What to do with grape tomatoes

Grape tomatoes are small, sweet tomatoes that can be eaten whole, halved for salads, or cooked until they soften and release their juices into a sauce.

What it tastes like

Juicy, bright, and lightly sweet with gentle acidity.

Why it's useful

They add color, moisture, and fresh tomato flavor with almost no preparation.

3 ways to use it

  1. 01
    Add them raw

Halve and toss into salads, snack plates, pasta salad, or grain bowls.

  2. 02
    Burst them in a skillet

Cook in a hot pan until the skins split, then stir into eggs, greens, or pasta.

  3. 03
    Roast them

Roast on a sheet pan until softened and concentrated, then spoon over chicken or toast.

Keep it fresh

  • Keep tomatoes at room temperature until ripe for the best flavor.
  • Refrigerate ripe tomatoes if you need to hold them longer, then let them warm slightly before eating.
